Torricino

The story : is about a territory on the fringe of the events, which history is made of the endless struggle between the man and Nature. It tells of a rugged and often fierce land, of earthquakes and migrations: this is the story our land, Irpinia, of which we feel proud ambassadors.

Our philosophy : identifies itself in a strong and basic value: the faithfulness to our territory and to the land, which is hand on from father to son in defence of our cultural identity.

The farm : harmoniously fits with the landscape of the hills which are around our village, Tufo. The “Azienda Agricola Torricino” (Torricino’s farm) takes its name from the ancient medieval tower which dominated the farm’s site as a protection for the Tufo’s castle. The tower stood on a south-oriented hill on the right of the river Sabato.

The family : the Di Marzos arrived in Tufo in 1647 and they soon became authors of an intense and heartfelt interaction whit the village. Nowadays, the story of the Di Marzo’s family is made of strong men and women bound by the love for their land. Their passion for vineyard’s growing assumes continuity in the project of Maria Concetta, Stefano and Federica Di Marzo from the “Azienda Agricola Torricino”.

		The success of the Azienda Agricola Torricino rewards the determination, the passion and the courage of who has invested energies and resources to give life to a business and to pursue the challenge for high quality.Everything comes from the braveness of a young entrepreneur, Stefano Di MarzoJust 25 years old, he did not waste time: he soon cultivated the dream of the production of high quality wines. After taking a degree in oenology and viticulture, in 2002 Stefano set up his farm together whit his sisters Maria Concetta and Federica. The farm is preserved in a family background which sink its roots in a consolidated historic memory: in fact, they are really four the generations engaged in oenology and viticulture.
